Endless Summer Dreams cont.

So we are right now about half way through our weekend, and after writing my depressing post about the end of summer the other day, we made sure we got the little ones out and amongst it today!
For what was supposed to be a 33 degree day, it felt crazy hot! If the temp wasn't higher, than the UV must have been off the chart! After being in the sun for a while, even hubby, who works outside and has German/Ukranian skin decided it was time to get out of the sun, so you can imagine how well my poor convict heritage skin was taking it.
I'm a serious beach lover but I've only seen it about 4 times this year so it was a bit of a shock to be back on the beach in those temps. We live about 45 minutes from any beaches at the moment and if you managed to read my last blog you will know that I've been pretty sad and missing the coast lately Noticing that February was over, came with the realisation that I had completely wasted my summer days.
We saw an opportunity with a run of warm weather and knew that it wouldn't be long before it was taken away from us, so we grabbed it by the horns, got up early and headed to our little haven of Nelson Bay. We packed some lunch, fruit, snacks and drinks into our super handy Watermelon Cooler (now also available in Lemon), and had some quality, much needed fresh salty air therapy. From the very moment we pulled up, we found a park right in the best spot(usually we miss out because we are late), nabbed an amazing spot under some trees, and didn't have to navigate around anyone. It really was just the most peaceful of mornings and I am so glad I kicked myself up the backside, pushed the things that weren't so necessary aside and did everything else early and got on our way.
From the moment I dived into that water, an immediate feeling of energised calm and overwhelming spiritual balance came over me. There is nothing in this world that can feel so revitalising, whilst being so unbelievably uncomplicated!
Today was a day I appreciate, today was a day of reflection, admiration for our region and a day of discovery and realisation. No matter how tough life gets, sometimes its as easy as a dip in the ocean to recharge and reset.
We do live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and sometimes we just need to stop, look, feel and take it all in.
Moral of the story if you're not happy, do something about it!
I hope everyone gets to their calm place this weekend and manage to have a Roxsta weekend!

love Suz xx

p.s Magnesium baths are working a treat in this household, definitely worth a try if you need a boost.
